Southern Pine Lumber:

DeBlaze FRTW is lumber and plywood, pressure-impregnated with a proprietary fire retardant solution. DeBlaze FRTW is kiln dried in accordance with AWPA Standards. DeBlaze, containing a superior fire retardant, remains stable in high temperature roof environments and is backed by a 40 year warranty, unlike any other fire retardant wood on the market today. DeBlaze can result in greater safety, reduced insurance rates, and easing of building code limitations.

ACQ is a mixture of stable oxides and is the preservative used to produce Preserve pressure treated wood. Preserve, like DeBlaze, is pressure-impregnated into wood. The chemical reaction which fixes the preservative in the wood is quite complex. In general terms, the metallic oxides are reduced by wood sugars to form highly insoluble and leach-resistant precipitates. The wood becomes useless as a food substance for wood-destroying insects and organisms, therefore establishing itself as a wood preservative. The chemicals fight off fungi that causes rot, for better looking and longer lasting lumber.

Explanations of Preserve pressure treatment and uses are sometimes complicated, but in a very general sense it is used to deter water, wood-destroying insects and organisms, and fungi-rot.
